Circular issued on foreign jobs for state employees

The circular pertaining to salary and leave for state employees engaging in foreign employment has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The circular dated 22nd August 2022 has been issued under the signature of Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena. 

Thereby the circular is applicable to all state corporations, institutions, and constitutional councils.

It has been made mandatory for state employees leaving for foreign employment to make a certain amount of foreign remittances during their employment tenure. 

The sum of foreign remittance has been decided as per the state employees’ designations. (NewsWire)
