Youth Affairs Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva says that strict actions will be taken against Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), if they go ahead with suing head of National Sports Council Arjuna Ranatunga.
Speaking in an interview with a TV channel, he further said that it’s not the practice for a state institute to sue another state affiliated institute using state funds.
He further said that if any official wished to take legal action, they can do so using their own money.
SLC earlier this week sent a letter of demand (LOD) to former Cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunga claiming Rs. 2 billion over comments made by the latter in a TV show over SLC deciding to host Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE. (NewsWire)
