President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited senior actor Jackson Anthony who is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

Jackson Anthony was hospitalized following a major accident that took place in Thalawa recently.

The actor has won the applause of the Sri Lankans for his talent on the stage, on television, and in cinema. 

Jackson Anthony has won the award for Best Actor a record sixteen times. 

During his visit, the President conveyed his regards to Anthony’s family members at the hospital, while he also requested them to inform him if they required any assistance pertaining to the actor’s treatment.

Stating that religious observance is being organized to pray for the recovery of the actor, the President said he will extend his maximum support for the event.

The President also met the Director of the National Hospital and inquired about the shortage of medicines and other necessary equipment.

He had also met other patients and the public who had arrived at the hospital for various treatments. (Newswire)
