Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka has categorically denied rumours claiming that he is set to accept a ministerial portfolio under the incumbent government.

The MP said that over the past few days some individuals and groups, trying to promote their own dubious political agenda, were found busy fabricating and spreading rumours to the effect that he would accept a Ministerial Portfolio and join the government

In a Twitter message, MP Patali Champika Ranawaka said that he categorically denies this as totally unfounded and baseless.

“We have openly placed before the public, and clearly communicated to all relevant parties months ago, our principled position on, and our pragmatic formula for an effective All-Party Interim Government, its role, and how it should function,” he added. (NewsWire)
