Public Security Ministry has confirmed that wanted underworld criminal gang leader Nadun Chinthaka alias ‘Harak Kata’ was arrested in Dubai.

Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias Harak kata, one of the main underworld gang leaders engaged in drug trafficking from Dubai, was reportedly arrested on 11th at the Dubai Airport as a result of a secret joint operation conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau and the International Police.

He was arrested through the information found from the forged foreign passport that he used when he fled the country to Dubai.

The foreign passport has been prepared using the information of a dead person with the face of Harak Kata.

Police suspect that recent shootings and killings across the country were allegedly directed by Harak Kata. (NewsWire)
