Nine (09) deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported for yesterday, the 09th of August 2022. 

The Director General of Health Services has confirmed that the deaths include 04 males and 05 females. 

The deceased men and women are all aged above 60- years. 

This is the highest number of Covid deaths to be reported in the past few months in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
