Minister Harin Fernando today requested Opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to join the proposed all-party government for the benefit of the country.

Addressing the Parliament today, the Tourism Minister said this is the only way to create a long-term solution for the current economic crisis.

“I request the SJB to join us and give life to the people’s aspirations, especially the younger generation of Sri Lanka,” he said.

Inviting the SJB to join hands with the government, Minister Harin Fernando humbly urged the party to agree to implement necessary programmes to develop the nation.

Stating that he has no intention to break any political party, the Minister said he still has faith in his SJB party even though he is now working with the government.

Minister Harin Fernando also warned that if the SJB fails to join, then the government will have to proceed with whoever or whatever party comes forward. (NewsWire)
