New companies to enter fuel import, distribution & sale in SL

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that a committee was appointed to evaluate suitable companies for importing, distribution and sale of petroleum products in the country.

He mentioned that the relevant committee was appointed yesterday (05) via a tweet.

Accordingly, the Minister had mentioned that several companies will have the opportunity to engage in the petroleum industry in Sri Lanka in the future along with CEYPETCO and Lanka IOC. (NewsWire)
