South Indian actor Kamal Haasan keen to support Sri Lanka

South Indian Cinema actor and director ‘Padma Bhushan’ Kamal Haasan has expressed his interest in ‘Supporting Sri Lanka’ through his Welfare Association.

The popular South Indian actor had expressed his intentions during a discussion with the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Chennai Dr. D. Venkateshwaran.

On the invitation extended by Dr. D. Venkateshwaran, Kamal Haasan visited the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in Chennai for the first time in the Mission’s History on Sunday (24).

During the visit, Kamal Haasan held a discussion with Deputy High Commissioner where they discussed matters including among others the cinema industry.

While addressing a gathering, the Deputy High Commissioner requested Kamal Haasan to visit Sri Lanka along with members of the film fraternity and the theatre group, which would boost the tourism sector in the country.

Further, Kamal Haasan had expressed his interest in ‘Supporting Sri Lanka’ through his Welfare Association. 

After the discussion, the veteran actor had a friendly interaction with all the staff members of the Mission. (NewsWire)
