Face mask : Update from Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health has issued new recommendations pertaining to the wearing of face masks in light of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka. 

The Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunaratne said it is strongly recommended to wear face masks during public gatherings and while indoors in public places. 

He further said that it is also recommended to wear face masks when travelling on public transportation. 

The recommendations pertaining to the wearing of face masks in Sri Lanka have been revised considering the current Covid-19 situation in the country, he added. (NewsWire)
