Representatives of the Galle Face protest campaign met Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa for a discussion at the Opposition Leader’s office in Colombo today.
Speaking to reporters, the representatives said that the key demand of the Galle Face protest campaign was for Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Ranil Wickremesinghe, and their government to resign.
“We met the Opposition Leader today to discuss the measures that could be taken in this regard,” they said.
They further said MP Premadasa was also informed that any government elected going forward must adhere to the Action Plan that has been presented by the representatives of the Galle Face protest campaign.
Commenting on the discussion, the Opposition Leader said the Galle Face protest campaign representatives had expressed their stance on the election of a new President.
Stating that neither he nor his party or alliance have let down the Galle Face protest campaign representatives at any given time in the past, MP Premadasa vowed that they will not do so in the future as well. (NewsWire)
