Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed officials to prepare necessary documentation to grant a presidential pardon to former MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

According to sources, Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara have met the acting President and had requested him to expedite the process of granting a presidential pardon to former MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

Acting President has reportedly instructed the Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakse to expedite the process following the proper legal procedure. (NeweWire)
