Sri Lankan protesters handed over Rs 17 million cash found in President’s house – Police

Sri Lanka Police have issued a press release acknowledging the receipt of more than Rs. 17.8 million cash recovered by protestors from the President’s house in Colombo.

Police also confirm that a total sum of Rs. 17,850,000 was handed over by the protestors to a police team headed by the OIC of Fort police station, who has collected the cash after being informed by the group who have found it.

The press release further reveals that the Police will inform the courts tomorrow (11) regarding the recovery of the money.
