President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed that he will resign from the Presidency on the 13th July, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena announced in a press conference this evening.

“I have been asked to inform the nation that in order to ensure a peaceful transition of power President will resign on 13th July.”  Speaker said.
