The Samagi Jana Balawegaya will not participate in the Party Leaders’ meeting summoned by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today, Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa said.
Issuing a statement, MP Premadasa said that the public is clearly calling for the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He further accused Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe of having safeguarded the Rajapaksas who were cornered by the public protests and had enabled their entry to the political arena again.
Stating that the SJB stands with the public and will support the people’s struggle until it reaches victory, he added that the SJB will not participate in any talks with the government. (NewsWire)
