9th protest : UNP extends support

The United National Party (UNP) has extended its support for the peaceful anti-government demonstration planned for tomorrow by the public. 

Issuing a statement, the UNP said that it supports the peaceful protests that have been planned to be held in Colombo calling for the resignation of the President, among other key demands. 

The UNP called on the public to ensure that they engage in peaceful demonstrations and avoid violent incidents.

They also called on the Police and other security forces to practice utmost restraint during the protests. (NewsWire)
