A woman has given birth after going into labour while standing in a queue at the Immigration and Emigration office in Battaramulla. 

The woman is reported to have waited in the queue to obtain a passport but had gone into labour.

The Sri Lanka Army immediately assisted the woman and transported her to the hospital. 

According to reports, the woman is reported to have given birth to a baby girl. (NewsWire)
