Several protests were held today against the government.

The Maha Sangha engaged in a protest in Pettah, Colombo.

The Buddhist monks called for the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Meanwhile, the Federation of University Teachers Association (FUTA) staged a protest today via a cycle parade.

The cycle parade was staged to call for the establishment of an all-party government to resolve the current issues in the country.

FUTA commenced the cycle parade from close to the Nugegoda flyover and ended it near the Public Library in Colombo, where a public gathering was held thereafter.

They are scheduled to stage a protest near Colombo University tomorrow. (NewsWire)
