New Passports : Notice from immigration department

The Department of Immigration & Emigration says that Issuance of Passports under the one-day service will be commenced with effect from 04th July 2022 at the Regional Offices in Matara, Vavuniya and Kandy.

Issuing a media notice, the department further says that at the beginning only 100 applicants who have already reserved a date and time at the specific regional offices will be accommodated.

The department reiterates that this service is for those who already registered with regional offices for the normal service though the website www.immigration.gov.lk and requests new applicants not to be present.

The notice further requests foreign employment seekers who have already registered for the one-day service at the head office to send a WhatsApp message to 0706311711 with document evidence to get the priority.
