Mervyn quits UNP joins SLFP

Former Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva obtained membership of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today.

Mervyn Silva obtained the party membership from SLFP chairman and former President Maithripala Sirisena at the latter’s official residence in Colombo.

It has been reported that Mervyn Silva is to be appointed as a National District Organizer of the SLFP in the near future.

Mervyn Silva contested under the United National Party (UNP) in his last election.
