Fuel crisis : Kanchana meets Qatar energy bosses

Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has held discussions with key officials from Qatar’s energy sector to address Sri Lanka’s energy crisis. 

In a Twitter message, Minister Wijesekera said he met with Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs and the President and CEO of Qatar Energy today. 

He further said that the discussion focused on the supply of Petroleum Products, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Sri Lanka to overcome the Energy crisis. 

The Minister said the discussions were held with an aim to overcome Sri Lanka’s Energy crisis with the assistance of Qatar Energy and the Qatar Development Fund.
